Makeup Monday Halloween Edition: Creepy Doll

With Haloween just around the corner I thought it would be fun to show you guys a couple of makeup ideas that are simple and easy to create :-)

So, for the month of October I have decided to dedicate my Makeup Monday's to fun Haloween Makeup Turorials and my DIY / Life Hack Wednesday's to Halloween themed DIYs ;-)
If you want to stay up to date with my blog you can follow me on Twitter where I post links to all my latest posts :-)

Without further ado, here is my finished Creepy Doll look... If you would like to find out how I created this then just keep reading :-)

Step 1
Start with your usual moisturiser and primer. For the pale complexion, if you have a really light foundation you can use that, or go in with a white cream makeup if you have one to lighten your foundation shade :)
Put it aaaaall over your face and neck until you look super pale, but you don't want to be stark white because then the eyes won't stand out as much ;-)

Step 2
Speaking of eyes, grab a black eyeliner and line out underneath your natural eye the shape that you want your eyes to be, over draw them as much as you want for the extra large creepy doll eye look :-)

Fill in that area with white cream makeup or white liner or eyeshadow, whatever you have :-)

Step 3
Add a pink or blue eyeshadow just above your natural crease to give the illusion of bigger eyes. Blend it out until the edges are nice and smooth looking :-)

Step 4
Use a black liner or a dark matte shadow to draw a thin curved brow line. If you have quite thick brows like mine you can conceal them with either tons of concealer or using the white cream makeup that you used in step 1 :-)

Step 4
Now for the lashes ;-) Add lashes to your top natural lashes and also just underneath the fake waterline that we created in step 2 :-)

If you don't have lashes you can always use a black eyeliner to draw little lines for the same lash effect :-) I did both!

Step 5
Take a dark matte shadow and contour down the sides of your nose to make it look super small. Blend out the edges by tapping your finger along the contour line so that it's not too harsh looking :-)

Step 6
For the lips you want to use the same technique as before to conceal your lips. Then draw a small heart shaped lip line inside your lips and colour it in for those really tiny doll lips :-) you can use any colour you want here, I chose red ;-)

This is what you should look like so far....

So the next 2 steps are optional, if you want your doll makeup to look sweet and innocent then stop here. However, if you want to add the creep factor then these last 2 steps are for you ;-)

Step 7
To add bloody tears to your doll eyes, you can either use fake blood or red lipstick / lipgloss :-)
If your using fake blood, take a cotton bud and dip it into the blood. Hold the cotton bud up to your fake bottom lash line that we created and let the blood drip down your face. Repeat this as much as you want until you get your desired bloody tears look ;-)

I wouldn't recommend putting fake blood near your actual eyeballs guys so let's not do that :-P Also, fake blood tends to stain skin a little so that's why I chose to use red lipgloss!

To use lipstick or lipgloss just grab a cotton bud and drag the lipgloss or lipstick down your face until you achieve the look you want :-)
I also wouldn't recommend putting lipgloss anywhere near you real waterline but since we created our own fake waterline we're all good here ;-)

Step 8
Another element you can add for the creep factor is cracks. For the cracks you want to take a black eyeliner and draw and out of shape square. Draw the corners of the square a bit longer then shade in the square with your liner.

Add some smaller crooked lines coming out of the bigger lines that you drew to make it look more realistic.
You can add white liner to some of the edges to make it look more 3D too ;-)

For the spider I took my liner and basically just drew a circle with 8 curvy legs :-P you can also add white liner to make your spider come to life ;-)

Hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial, if anyone is inspired by my creepy doll or tries out their own you can tag me in your pics on Instagram (@loraforever3) or Twitter (@loraforever), I would LOVE to see them :-)

Also, if you'd like to see my take on Mermaid makeup then come back and visit me right here next Monday!
Hope to see you then ;-)
