Lipstick Dupes! High End -V- EBay

I'm sure you have all heard about EBay dupes for high end makeup by now! But I recently discovered this brand of lipstick on eBay called 'Me Now Kiss Proof Long Lasting Soft Lipstick' ...a mouthful indeed, but I purchased quite a few of these only to discover that they are some of the best dupes that I have found for my high end lipsticks!

And to sweeten the deal even more, I also realised that they are WAAAAY more long lasting then their high end duplicates...
Here's a pic to back up my wild statement....
As you can see, all the high end lipsticks on the left have disappeared after a few wipes with a makeup wipe, but the cheapies are still going strong!

Anyways, here's the dupes you're all here for, suppose I should get into that... :-P

1️⃣ Gerard Cosmetics 1995
Here are the lippies side by side.

And the swatches!

As you can see these are not an exact match, 1995 is more red toned while the Kiss Proof is more brown/orange. Still very close in my opinion! They are very similar on the lips.

2️⃣ Gerard Cosmetics Vintage Rose

The swatches are very similar, with Vintage Rose being a tad bit warmer.

3️⃣ Mac Whirl

These are virtually the same colour, the only difference is the Kiss Proof is slightly warmer toned! I find that the Kiss Proof is also more creamy and easier to spread over the lips!

4️⃣ Urban Decay Rush

The main difference here is the finish, the Urban Decay colour is a high shine finish whereas the Kiss Proof is more matte. The colours are almost identical though!

Hope you guys enjoy these dupe posts, let me know if you'd like to see some more in the comments below :-)

Do you have any sweet dupes you'd like to share? Tag me on Instagram, I'd love to see :-)

Makeup Monday: My Mac Lipstick/Liner Collection

Makeup Monday on a Tuesday but oh well... :-P

I've only recently gotten into Mac lipsticks but the obsession is real! It's true what they say, you really do get hooked!!

I currently own 3 Mac lipsticks and 2 lip liners.

And here they are!

1️⃣ Velvet Teddy
This is a matte warm brown toned lipstick. It's been my go to shade through Autumn and Winter :-) it lasts really long on the lips and it's very moisturising for a matte lippy :-)

2️⃣ Please Me
This is a light pink toned matte lipstick. As always, it's long lasting and very moisturising :-)

3️⃣ Blankety
This one is a cool toned nudey grey shade. It's an amplified colour so it's super moisturising and it's got a bit of gloss to it. It's a nice everyday nude shade.

Here are the 3 lipsticks swatched side by side :-)

4️⃣ Whirl Lip Liner
This is one of the lip liners I got for Christmas this year. It's one of the Kylie lip colours (apparently) but I LOVE this, it's such a me colour! 😂 it's a brown toned 90s kind of colour. It's matte but moisturising :-P how many times can you say matte and moisturising in the one blog post? ;-)

ANYWAYS, this colour is also available in a very hard to get your hands on lipstick :-P it's nearly always sold out!

5️⃣ Soar Lip Liner
Another awesome Kylie colour lip liner! This one is more pink toned but still a matte nude colour. I'm also totally in love with this. It's quite similar to the Whirl liner so you definitely don't need both of these unless your as obsessed with the Kylie lip colour as I am ;-)

Here is Soar and Whirl swatched side by side...

And there you have it! That is my current Mac lipstick and lip liner collection!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my Mac Lippy Collection! Let me know what your favourite Mac products are, this girl is obsessed and ready to expand her collection ;-)

Hair Hacks For All Hair Types!

So today's life hacks are all about my favourite subject; hair!
If, like me, you are obsessed with your hair then you will enjoy these hair hacks!

Some of these you may have heard of, others you may not have but I use each of these hair hacks for my own hair all the time :-)

If you want to have hair that's more manageable, healthier and less time consuming then just keep reading ;-)

1️⃣ Extra Soft Hair
This one is just so easy, you can use an old empty spray bottle and add in a few spoons of conditioner and add a lot of water and mix. You've got yourself a simple leave in conditioner that does the job!

2️⃣ Frizz Free
Use a T-shirt as a Hair Towel. Its great for less frizz and breakage!

3️⃣ Talc = Greasy Roots BFF
Talcum Powder as Dry Shampoo, who knew? I have dark roots so I powder my talc on with a makeup brush!
If you've still got that gray tinge going on then add some dark eye shadow to your roots :-)

4️⃣ Hair Thinning or Bald Spot?
Just as before, adding an eyeshadow that's similar to your hair colour can create the illusion of fuller hair! You can also use this trick to temporarily cover grays :-)

5️⃣ For That Shine Though
Add some oils to the end of your hair for that extra sine. I use Argan Oil.

6️⃣ Root Concealer
I recently started using the new Loreal root concealer and it's perfect for regrowth or grays! You can also use mascara for this as it also temporarily masks your roots!

7️⃣ Knot Free Locks
Brush hair before you wash it- never brush wet hair - this will make your hair way more manageable!

8️⃣ Flyaways & Frizz
If using a hair dryer always have the hair dryer pointed downwards to prevent flyaways and frizz. Also, just a quick side note- NEVER let your hair dryer touch your hair directly as it can singe your hair!!!
Also you can take flyaways and frizz by applying hair spray and combing it down with a toothbrush!

9️⃣ Sweet Smelling Hair
Spray perfume in your hairbrush for nicer smelling hair

🔟 Oily Forehead = Greasy Bangs
If you struggle with your oily skin making your hair greasy then apply hair spray to the under layer of your fringe or side bangs to create a barrier between your hair and your skin :-) this also works well if your fringe is making you break out!!!

I hope you guys and gals enjoyed this hair hack post, if you have any other hair hacks let me know what they are in the comments below :-)

Makeup Monday: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

I've been lusting after the Makeup Geek eyeshadows for a long time now. I've never been an eyeshadow girl and all i had was the Naked palette for years!

Recently I've found myself collecting palettes, I have far too many now and I'm much more into eyeshadow now :-)

I got myself a fancy Z palette and 5 Makeup Geek eyeshadows off of BeautyBay.com, these shadows are only €6 each! Like whaaaaat! They are crazy affordable!

So are they really worth the hype? Let's see.... Eh YES! I'm obsessed with these, I've been wearing them since I got them.

I started with a few neutral shades to get my Makeup Geek collection started :-)
These shadows are all so pigmented as well, so smooth and buttery and easy to blend.

Creme Brûlée
The perfect transition colour for the crease. It's a very light brown matte shade that blends like a dream.

Frappe
A slightly darker matte brown shade. I use this to deepen the crease colour and add some colour under the waterline :-)

Cocoa Bear
A deep warm matte brown shade, really nice for deepening the outer corners of the eye.

Vintage
A purple mauve grey toned shadow, it's matte so it makes a great crease and lower lash colour :-) perfect for a more nude toned eye!

Goddess
This gorgeous shimmery copper colour looks so good all over the eye, or just above the iris of the eye to create a halo effect :-)

And here they are all swatched together :-)

Have you tried the Makeup Geek eyeshadows? Let me know what you think of them and what your favourite colours are in the comments below!
I definitely want to invest in some more of these babies ;-)

Makeup Monday: My Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick Collection

So I own 4 of the Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks, I love the colours and the formula and the packaging is just stunning! I mean gold bullets, like really? They sure know how to make a gal feel special :-P

There are some really good discount codes going around for the Gerard Cosmetics site so I have never paid the full price. I used Manny MUA's codes for these bad boys. You can search around for some decent codes though and see what you can find :-)

I have a review already for 2 of the products, the lipstick in 'Vintage Rose' and the liquid lipstick in 'Serenity', you can read that full review a couple posts back :-)

So let's get into my small but growing collection!

1️⃣ Underground
This one is a really cool grey toned matte lippy. It's quite moisturising but I find it really shows all the lines and dryness on my lips!

2️⃣ 1995
This one is from the Jaclyn Hill colab. It's a deep plum 90's kinda shade. It has a nice matte finish but it's very moisturising on the lips.

3️⃣ Buttercup
This is also a Jaclyn Hill colab colour. It's a cream sheen kind of cool nude colour. It's very moisturising but I find that it accentuates any dryness on the lips!

4️⃣ Vintage Rose
This literally a vintage rose pink colour! It's a matte shade but it can be quite drying. This is still my favourite out of the bunch though!

It can be hard to first apply it so you really have to push hard on the lips to get the colour payoff! But when it's on its on for hours ;-)

Here are all 4 lipsticks swatched side by side :-)

So guys, I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick collection. What are your favourites? Let me know in the comments below :-)
