How To: Shape your Eyebrows to Suit your Face

Eyebrows play such an important part in shaping your face, and it can be quite hard to get the right shape to match your face, as well as making sure they are both as similar as you can get them!

Here is just a general way to shape your brows to suit your face in 5 easy steps :-)

You will need;
♥️Tweezers,
♥️Eyebrow scissors (optional),
♥️A spoolie or clean mascara wand (also optional),
♥️A brow pencil or eyeliner,
♥️And something long and straight like a pencil.

1⃣ Place the pencil in the dip of your nose like pictured below. Hold it straight up to your forehead. This is where the brow should start. Mark this with the liner so you know where to start plucking later ;-)

Repeat on the other side :-)

2⃣ Keeping the pencil in the dip of your nose, tilt it outwards while looking straight forward so that the pencil is now in a diagonal line going from your nose and straight over the pupil of your eye, as pictured below.
Also mark this with your liner, this is typically where your arch should be at its highest.

Aaaand repeat on the other side, if you want even brows of course ;-)

3⃣ Finally, tilt the pencil again so that it makes a diagonal line from your nose to just under your eye. Mark this too, as this is where your brow should end. Aaaaand repeat on the other side ;-)

To make sure your brows are on the same level, place your pencil in the middle of your brows, just above one of them and keep the pencil straight to see if your brows are even.

4⃣ Start plucking / tweezing / whatever it is your into :-) Dont worry if you haven't got enough brow hairs to work with, you can always take a break from the tweezing for a couple months and grow them back, or simple draw them on ;-)

5⃣ To tidy your brows and get them looking super slick and even, you can use your clean mascara wand to brush up the brow hairs and trim them with the scissors.

Skip this step if you are going for some thick bushy Cara brows though ;-)

And there you have it, this method works for most eye shapes but remember; this is a general guideline to follow, if your not happy with the marks you can always alter them yourself. AND if your having trouble getting your eyebrows looking the same then remember; eyebrows are sisters, not twins ;-)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, feel free to comment below and subscribe to my blog for more ;-)

Boutique of Molly Velour Swing Cami Styled 4 Ways

I was recently approached by Boutique of Molly and asked if I would be interested in purchasing an item off of their online boutique and blogging about it. I checked out the website and fell in love with so many items so I said yes straight away :-)

So I purchased this super gorge velour cami swing top. They have so many beautiful pieces that look so expensive and are really affordable, but I thought that this top was really different but so classy and versatile :-)

I'm just going to quickly mention a few things about this top before I get into the way I styled it :-)

The Material
I could literally feel this top all day, it is sooo soft and velvety. It comes with a little slip attached on the inside and a gorgeous thick lace trim on the bottom, as well as a thin lace trim on the neckline. The straps are really thin spaghetti straps and are quite stretchy. They can also be adjusted so you can make them longer or shorter :-)

Here you can really see the detail...

Because its a swing top, it is so comfortable and really flattering on. It hides unwanted lumps and bumps which is always a plus! My favourite thing about the material has to be the navy reflect to it, I absolutely LOVE it.

The Size
In the images below, I am wearing a size 12. I'm very big chested (if you catch my drift ;-) and its always a risk getting a crop top because most end up being really really short! But, this top is the perfect length to wear with high waisted bottoms and skirts, which I was delighted about :-)

How I Styled it
I styled this top 4 different ways, 2 casual and 2 dressy. I am by no means a fashion expert or stylist but I think they look cute :-)

Necklace: ebay.ie
Cardigan: Penneys/Primark

How to Grow Long & Healthy Hair

I have a love-hate relationship with my hair. From years of dyeing and bleaching and straightening and backcombing my hair is now a hot mess of dry and damaged split ends and nastiness. So, over the last year or so I have developed a hair care routine that not only helps my hair grow stronger, healthier and longer, but also leaves my hair suuuuuuuper soft and lush looking!

Here is a list of 10 tips and tricks for healthier and longer hair :-)

1⃣ Coconut Oil
Before you wash your hair add some coconut oil to the lengths of your hair. You can brush all the oils through your hair and leave it in for as long as possible before washing it off.
You can also do this as a moisturising hair mask and leave it in aaaaall day on the days when you don't leave the house.

It's also a great idea to brush your own natural hair oils through your hair before a shower so they get evenly distributed throughout your hair. This also helps as there is no knots in your hair when your washing it :-)

This is the coconut oil I use, it's a solid and turns into a liquid when rubbed in your hands :-)

2⃣ Argan oil
Another great oil for the ends of your hair is Argan oil. Use a small amount of this to smooth into the lengths of your dry or wet hair every day to keep them nice and moisturised. If you use a small amount it won't make your hair look or feel greasy, but it will leave your hair mega soft!

I use this Argan oil from Penneys/Primark, it's super cheap and it smells really good, kind of citrusy :-)

3⃣ No Heat!
Another big thing for long and healthy hair is to avoid heat as much as possible!! If this seems literally impossible to you, try going 1 week without heat or maybe be really brave and go a whole month without heat ;-)
Also every time you do use heat PLEASE remember to use a good heat protectant spray, your hair will appreciate you for it :-P

If you have issues with frizz and feel the need to always use heat on your hair, or you just love the look of curled hair, why not try some different no heat curling methods?
Check out my blog post on my no heat curling methods, it's changed my life like literally! :D

4⃣ Less Shampooing
Try to limit the amount of times you shampoo, and definitely don't shampoo your hair every day. It strips your hair of its natural oils and your hair needs these to stay moisturised and healthy.

Instead, why not try some dry shampoo on the days when you don't shampoo? A great dry shampoo to use is Batiste dry shampoo which is readily available in most places in Ireland and is super affordable.
Another thing you can use as dry shampoo is talcum powder. Just dab some into your greasy roots and blow dry it out (on a cool setting of course ;-) )

Also it's worth mentioning that you do not need to apply shampoo into the lengths of your hair, just the roots and scalp area is fine. When rinsing the shampoo out the ends of your hair will get a quick clean too.
This even works when you have a ton of coconut oil in the ends of your hair, it doesn't leave your hair greasy or oily at all.

5⃣ Leave in Conditioner
Leave in conditioner literally changed my hair for the better. You can do this by either leaving some conditioner in the lengths of your hair after your shower and letting your hair dry with it still in it...
Or
You can make your own DIY leave in conditioner! For this you need a small spray bottle. Add equal parts of water and your fave conditioner into the bottle while still leaving a little room in the top of the bottle. This is so you can shake it up!!  So shake 'till your hearts content (or until your conditioner and water are mixed up ;-) .) Add this to wet hair after your shower and let dry :-)

No joke your hair will dry amazingly soft and smell good for dayssssss :-) This is a pic of my DIY leave in conditioner :-)

6⃣ Biotin Supplement
If like me you find that your hair has reached a length and will not grow anymore, you might want to think about adding a Biotin supplement into your diet.
Biotin is a mineral that we receive in small amounts in the food we eat. It is also hugely helpful in the growth of hair and nails. You can get this supplement in health food stores in doses of 100mg all the way to 1000mg!

However, before you jump in with the Biotin, you need to know that although it promotes hair and nail growth and strength, it also increases the growth rate of other body hair too... So ask yourself is it really worth it? ;-)

7⃣ Regular Snips!
So I know no one wants to have a scissors anywhere near their hair when they are growing it but let me tell you, it's a necessity when your growing your hair long in order to get rid of the split ends that end up breaking your hair off eventually.
If you don't trust hairdressers (I don't!!! No offence any hairdressers reading this ;-) ) it may be worth your while investing in some hair dressing scissors.

PLEASE never ever cut your hair with a regular scissors! This will actually increase the amount of split ends in your hair as it is not sharp enough to cut your hair properly. I got this pair in Boots for €25 and use them to cut off the bad ends of my hair every 2 months.

8⃣ Plaits at Night & Better Bobbins
Plaiting your hair at night can stop it from tangling up and getting even more splits. Always use hair bobbins that have no metal connection on them as this rips hair out. The example in the picture below has no metal connection part and although they don't last as long they are much better for your hair.

If you love wearing your hair up then you need to think about changing up the position of your bun/pony tail every couple of days as wearing your hair up in the same position every day can cause breakages.

I got these bobbins in Penneys/ Primark :-)

9⃣ Always Use Conditioner
Always remember to condition your hair every time you wash it. If you brush your hair before your shower you shouldn't have to use a brush to brush through the conditioner, however, if you do need something it is better to use a wide tooth comb to brush through the conditioner.

This is my fave conditioner, leaves my hair so soft and it's super affordable too :-)

🔟 Brushing
When your hair is wet it is in its most vulnerable stage. It is more prone to breakages if you brush it when it's wet so try not to do this. The best thing to use to brush wet hair is a wide tooth comb.

You may think that brushing your hair increases split ends but realistically if you let your hair get in a tangled mess that's when the most breakage is going to take place trying to get rid of all those knots.

Aim to brush your hair once in the morning and once before you sleep and put your hair in plaits. This minimises tangles and knots and helps keep your hair in great shape.
Always brush your hair starting at the very ends of your hair and working upwards. Always brush in a downwards motions though (backcombing literally breaks your hair at the root when done too often). Go as slow as you can so as to reduce the strain on your hair and decrease the amount of breakage :-)

There are also different hair brushes for different types of hair so it might be worth your while investing in a hair brush suitable for your specific hair type.

These are my tips and tricks for growing healthy hair that I have learned over the last year. I hope you find it helpful, if you try anything mentioned here or have any other suggestions feel free to leave a comment below :-)

Storage on a Budget!

So if your anything like me your always looking for cheap but chic ways to organise and store your things.

These are just a few ideas for you that I'm currently loving right now.

1⃣ Make up Brush/Pen Holder.
I cleaned out a coffee jar for this and added some glass beads in one and some black plastic beads in another, cheap as chips! I also added some pretty floral tape to the opening of my pen holder. I think it looks much better with it, what do you think? :-)

2⃣ Display Box/Tray
I use this to store my notebook, pen, and coasters! This is actually a frame that I use as a small display box.

3⃣ Jewelery Storage
This is a heart shaped tin that I got some lip balms in at Christmas. I use it to store my favourite jewelery and jewelery that I plan to wear the next day. I also store my home-made leave in conditioner in here too ;-)

4⃣ Storage Box
This was a gift box that I once received. I painted the lid to match the colour scheme in my room and I now use it to store my hair extensions!
You can decorate any kind of box you like and use it to store whatever you need to :-)

This is a great way to hide clutter and things that don't have a place in your room!

5⃣ Lipstick Holder
I got this graduated acrylic lipstick holder for €4 on eBay! Just search 'acrylic lipstick holder'
There are so many small acrylic storage boxes on eBay that are super cheap, can't go wrong with that :-)

You can also use this to store lip liners, eye liners, roller ball perfumes, and anything else that will fit!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, don't forget to check out my other posts for some D.I.Y storage tutorials using cardboard! :-)

They're Real Push Up Liner Review

So last weekend I went to a Benefit Master Class and just had to have this bad boy!
I've heard so much about this eyeliner, good and bad! I just had to give it a go ;-)

Before I begin I must admit, I do have some really good eyeliner days but I also have some seriously shocking eyeliner days too :-P
But 90% of the time I will have liquid liner on with a nice flicked out wing so I'm not a complete novice at the whole eyeliner thing so keep that in mind ;-)

The Packaging
The tip itself is actually made of rubber and is flexible! It makes it so easy to move it around your eye and to get a thin line with!

To get the product out you have to twist the end of the tube a couple of times... I say a couple, it literally took me 20 twists the first time before I saw any product 😂

Also, if you twist too many times during your application, the product does tend to build up on the edges of the tip and you have to wipe it away. This happened to me several times on my first application. Bit of a waste there.
This is the absolute state of my finger after using this liner on just one eye...

The Product
The product itself is quite thick, not at all watery like I was expecting. It's kind of like a mixture between a liquid eyeliner and a kohl pencil. It's jet black and comes out completely matte, which I LOVE.

The Application
It applies so smooth and the rubber tip makes it so easy to get a really fine line and curve it to the natural shape of your eye.
The only trouble I had on my first application was that the edges of my liner didn't come out as crisp as I'd like them to be because of the excess product on the sides of the tip.

Here is a pic of my first application...

As you can see, the edges are not as crisp as I'd like. Unfortunately this happened to me every time I've used it to date, which has been about 4 times... I'll get the hang of it one day 😆

The Removal
This product is notorious for being hard to remove, Benefit even have their own remover for this one!
I used coconut oil to remove it and although it took a minute or two, it started to come off :-)
I finished off with a light cleanser and the there was literally no traces of liner left :-)

So basically, it's hard to get the hang of if you've never used anything like this before but I do love it, like a lot ;-)
Have any of you guys tried this liner? Leave a comment below or follow my Instagram @loraforever3 :-)

£1 Me Now Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

These lippies are £1 on eBay, with free shipping! Lots of sellers are selling these lippies all over eBay so if you want to check them out just search 'Me Now Matte Liquid Lipstick'.

I only got one of these colours, it was number 18 from the seller welo-lee.
The reason I got this colour is because I was told that it was a dupe for Lime Crime's Cashmere!
Another thing to note is that I live in Ireland and it took 2 whole months for it to get to me.

On closer inspection and some help from my Instagram girls, we have found that it looks more like a combination of Cashmere along with Kat Von D's Lolita. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below :-)

ANYWAYS!
Here is my review ;-)

Packaging
The packaging is too cute! It's like a little test tube bottle so it doesn't stand up straight.

Application
The applicator is doe foot, but unlike other liquid lipsticks, there isn't an excessive amount of product on it. The perfect amount comes out on the applicator :-)

Also, the product takes about a minute to dry so you do have a good amount of time to play around with it and fix it up.
Once it's dry it's still quite tacky, but not sticky if that makes any sense at all.. Like even when my lips stuck together and I pulled them apart the lipstick application stays perfect!
So, to combat the tackyness I like to pat some translucent powder onto my lips using a brush. No lipstick comes off onto your brush so don't worry about that ;-)
The powder gets rid of all stickiness and the product actually never feels like it's drying out my lips. It does alter the colour slightly as you can see from the picture below.

Longevity
No joke, these last aaaaaall day, all day! Although through eating and drinking it only started to fade in the centre of my lips. I havnt worn this lippy for longer than 6 hours but come on, 6 hours is a long ass time for a lipstick to stay on for! :-)

Removal
These are suuuuper hard to get off! I tried water and a cleanser and nothing budged!!! I had to use coconut oil and a loooot of rubbing to get this bad boy off my lips 😂

Overall I actually prefer this lippy to my ABH Pure Hollywood both because of the colour and the longevity! The colour of this one just suits my complexion more and it also just lasts so much longer, and it's so much cheaper!! Can't go wrong  with that in my eyes girlies :-)

As always you can leave a comment below or connect with me on Instagram or Twitter via @loraforever3 :-)

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Review

I've heard many great things about Cocoa Brown tan so when I saw it in Penneys / Primark I said I'd give it a go! This tan is so ridiculously affordable too, can't go wrong with that! :-)

The Bottle.
So this is the bottle itself, I mean how cute is this?
I got the new dark shade in the 1 hour tan.

The Product.
The product itself comes out as a grey / brown looking mousse. As it is a mousse you will need to give it a good shake before you start tanning ;-)
This tan also contains no parabens and is gentle on sensitive skin, according to the bottle :-)

The Application.
I also use the Cocoa Brown tanning mitt to apply this tan as I don't want to get the tan under my nails, or end up with extremely tan hands :-P you could also use a cotton sock over your hand to apply the tan, it does essentially the same job :-)

As long as you apply the mousse evenly you shouldn't have any problems with streaks or uneven patches. A tip to avoid streaks or dry patches is to exfoliate in the shower before applying any tan :-)

The Development.
This tan takes around an hour to fully develop on my skin, Mine got a little darker than pictured below but nothing too extreme, I LOVE it!!!

It does say on the bottle that you should wait up to 3 hours for the most intense result, then rinse off in the shower with just water.
I find that if I rinse the tan off after 3 hours of developing time then my colour fades too much and I end up looking too pale for my liking, so I usually leave the tan on over night and rinse off the next morning for a perfect bronzed look :-)

The left is without tan, and the right is just after applying one coat of Cocoa Brown :-)
HUGE difference!!

The Longevity.
The tan itself lasts for 1 or 2 showers afterwards. It comes off pretty easily when you scrub it off in the shower :-)
I also have about a quarter of the bottle left and have done 5 full body applications so far, so this bottle has lasted me a good while!

Hope you guys enjoyed this review, I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for an instant tan for an affordable price :-)

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

Cleaning your make up brushes is a must, especially if your using them every day :-)
I spot clean my brushes after every use and every Sunday I give all my brushes a good deep cleaning.

1⃣ To give my brushes a quick clean I use the P.S Love Makeup Brush Cleanser from the Penneys / Primark range. I spray it into each of my brushes and then swirl each brush onto a tissue a couple of times until no more product comes off.

2⃣ To give them a deep clean I first run a small bit of sanitizer (also from the P.S Love range in Penneys) over the handle and hairs of the brush.

3⃣ I wet the brush hairs and take a moisturising baby shampoo by Simple and work it into the brush hairs.
This shampoo leaves the brush hairs super soft :-)

4⃣ I then swirl the brushes onto a ribbed rubber oven mitt to really break down any makeup in the brush hairs. You can also just use your hand instead to swirl the brushes into.

5⃣ I rinse each brush until there is no more shampoo in the brush hairs.

6⃣ Finally, to dry the brushes I leave them against a towel so that they are almost standing up right.
This is important as water seeping up the brushes can loosen the glue over time and can lead to the brush hairs falling out, and that's just not cool :-P

I usually do this in the evening and leave them to fully dry over night :-)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and find it helpful :-)

D.I.Y Drawer Divider / Organiser

If you would like to know how to make these cute and simple drawer dividers then keep reading below ;-)

You will need..
1. Cardboard box and cardboard pieces
2. Measuring tape
3. Pencil
4. Paint & Paintbrush
5. Scissors
6. Superglue

Step 1
Get a box that will fit into your drawer, or you can just make this as an organised box, maybe add a lid to it to really finish it off :-)

Step 2
Using the measuring tape, measure the width of the base of the box and make a note of it.

Step 3
Also measure the length of the base and write down the measurement.

Step 4
Finally, measure the depth of the box from the top to the bottom and again make a note of it.

Step 5
Take the individual piece of cardboard. This is going to be your dividers.

Step 6
Using the measurements you took of the box earlier, measure out a piece of cardboard that is the same width as your box and the same depth as your box.

Step 7
Cut this measurement out of the cardboard.

Step 8
Make sure the piece you cut fits perfectly into the box so that it is able to stand freely.

Step 9
Repeat the above steps for each individual divider that you want to be in the box. You can add the dividers any way you want!
This is the way I added each divider...

Even out any rough edges with your scissors so that each piece is smooth and fits into the box.

Step 10
Take each piece out of the box and paint them a colour of your choice! I chose white ;-)

Step 11
Once each piece is dry you can now reassemble your dividers in the box and when you are happy with the positioning of them you can glue them into place :-)

At this point I coloured the tops of each cardboard piece black with a marker so that the little holes in the cardboard were less noticeable :-)

I also added some cardboard pieces to the sides of the box because it did not fit fully into my drawer :-)
I did this by measuring from the box to the edge of the drawer and cut pieces of cardboard to fit. I then painted and glued them to the side of the box!

Hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial, as always you can leave a comment below with any questions or tag me in your recreations on Instagram @loraforever3 :-) Below is a picture of the final product with all of my favourite products inside!

Love & Hugs, Lora xo
