First up we have very simple ribbon cushions! As you can see I simply tied a ribbon in a bow around my cushion. So simply yet so cute!
Secondly, a similar idea; I wrapped up some of my picture frames in cute wrapping paper and put some ribbon around them. I then hung them back on my wall for an instant festive look!
The third thing I did was get some cheap battery powered lights and draped them around my curtains and my mirror. I got these adorable heart shaped ones from IKEA. This, coupled with some festive smelling candles totally creates a holiday atmosphere in my room in the evenings, love it!
So possibly the most fun DIY I've ever diy'ed... This cute little Christmas tree! I will post a step by step for these below...
You will need:
- Wrapping paper of your choice
- Scissors
- Sellotape
- Card or cardboard
Steps:
- For the card I sellotaped the back and front sides of a cereal box together. I then cut a couple of inches off so that it was a square shape as opposed to a rectangle.
- I rolled the card into a cone shape and taped it together. I cut the excess card off the bottom so that the cone could stand on a flat surface.
- I cut 5-6 inches in diameter of wrapping paper.
- I folded the wrapping paper in half but don't squash it down; keep a little curved loop in the paper. Sellotape the top edges of the folded wrapping paper together, all the way along the top.
- Cut 1 inch sections straight up into the curved loop of the wrapping paper, but don't cut all the way up to the top. Leave about an inch at the top.
- Then measure your wrapping paper strip around the bottom of your cone and cut off the excess. Then sellotape the wrapping paper down onto the cone, sellotaping the 1 inch at the top that you left in the last step.
- Repeat this step until you reach the top of your cone. You may need to cut more wrapping paper depending on the size of your cone.
- Add a star made of card to the top of your tree to finish it off and your done :)
